MINDFULNESS IN DAILY LIVING

Mindfulness is a way of paying attention to our experience in the present moment without judgment. Living in this way enhances both our enjoyment of life and our ability to deal with life’s difficulties.

We are constantly confronted with difficulties that give rise to anxiety, sadness and anger or other distressing emotions. We face conflicts, losses and stressful situations at home, at work or in other relationships. Mindfulness helps us discover the wellsprings of inner strength and self-awareness to face life’s challenges. It enables us to deal with difficulties of life with peace and wisdom. This one day workshop offers inputs and meditations so that the experience can set you on your way to mindful living. This one day experiential workshop will introduce you to the tools for living life with mindful awareness. The meditations and exercises you learn are designed to help you to incorporate them into your daily living.

FINDING STILLNESS

All of us face conflicts and problems in our relationships as well as in our daily living. Besides these, we are passing through a period of unprecedented turmoil and fear because of the current financial, and social problems. We may use various methods to calm ourselves and find relief. The focus of this de Mello awareness retreat, however, is on ourselves as we experience the turbulence so that through mindfulness and understanding we discover practical ways to lasting peace and happiness.
